Alentus Launches Datacentre Green Scheme
Alentus UK has embarked on an aggressive path to upgrade old servers and equipment to new, energy efficient devices. The plan, dubbed the Green Scheme was launched on 1st of February and covers our London and Manchester core datacentres. Through the scheme, customers are being given special incentives to move from old hardware to new Dell, HP, and IBM low power consumption and energy efficient machines.
30% reduction in current electrical consumption
Alentus UK’s target for electrical consumption reduction is a 30% overall reduction
in the number of kilowatts required to power the existing number of devices.
How do current customers sign up?
All clients are eligible for the upgrades which include the Small Business, Premium, Application/DB, and Video/Streaming managed server lineup. In addition, Colocation customers with their own servers are also eligible to switch to managed server hosting. All existing clients that choose to upgrade will be given FREE Alentus UK migration assistance to ensure their old platforms and applications can be successfully upgraded to new equipment.
